Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Lockrack Universal X Kayak Carrier and seeing how it fits on the top of our 2022 Ford Maverick. Now, this is gonna be able to carry one kayak or canoe, or it can carry two standup paddle boards. Really, whatever equipment you're putting in here, it's gonna be a great way to carry it on your roof, or in this case, on a ladder rack. Either way, it's gonna work just fine. It mounts into the T-track on your crossbar, so your roof rack or your ladder rack will need T-track on the top, and that's going to be what we use to mount up the carrier. more

Hi, everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at our Lockrack Surfboard Carrier and seeing how it fits on the top of our 2022 Ford Maverick. That's gonna be a great way to carry a single surfboard with you without having to worry about tying it down because everything is held in by these four ratcheting arms. It gets a really strong hold on the surfboard. And because of the way they're shaped and the places it grips the surfboard, there's really no room for it to move around, whether that be up or down or sliding front to back because in the middle is the widest part of the surfboard and the arms taper over the top to prevent it from popping up. So, this is a really simple system to get set up and it doesn't take up too much room on top of the roof. more

With this being a J-Style kayak carrier it's gonna be shaped kind of like a J and hold the kayak more upright like you see here. Personally, J-Style is one of my favorites just because it cradles the kayak really well. Makes a lot of contact with the hole of the boat for a very solid fit. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack standup paddleboard and kayak carrier and seeing how it fits on top of our 2022 Ford Maverick. Now this is going to be a saddle-style carrier. What that means is you've got these four pads with the articulating joints. And you're gonna have two on each crossbar, kind of cradling the boat in by the bottom. All the straps help hold it down into those and you can see how it flexes around the boat and gets a really strong hold on it overall. more

What that's gonna do is get us more space on a roof rack for other accessories whether that be another kayak, maybe a box or a basket. Kuat Class 4 V2 Kayak Carrier Review - 2022 Ford Maverick- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Class 4 J-style kayak carrier and seeing how it fits on top of our 2022 Ford Maverick. So this is gonna be a J-style kayak carrier. What that means is the carrier itself is sort of shaped like a J and it's gonna hold your boat a little bit more upright like you see here compared to something that's gonna hold it by the hole, it's gonna take up a lot less space on your roof rack like this, and I'm a personal fan of J-style carriers because one, they're very stable, they get a lot of contact on the boat keeping it nice and still when it's on the roof, this one is certainly no exception to that rule, and then also you can just fit more on the roof rack. So if you wanted to take more than just the one kayak with us, we could very easily get another one of these carriers on the other side of our Maverick and get two to wherever we're going. more

Kuat Class 4 V2 Kayak Carrier Review - 2021 Ford Bronco Sport- Video
Hey, it's Ethan with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat Class 4 V2 kayak carrier on our 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. A kayak carrier like this one will help you get one kayak wherever you need it to go, up to 75 pounds. In the case of the Class 4, it's gonna be a J-style hook, which doesn't take up a lot of space on our crossbars at all. So if you wanted to get another kayak up there if your crossbars allow for that weight, you could do that or maybe even fit some other accessories on the other side as well. This carrier is secured on our 49" crossbars here and you can see we're still able to get one of the feet of the actual carrier on the outside which gets the kayak closer to us for easy unloading and loading. more

Rhino-Rack Nautic Roof SUP or Kayak Carrier Review - 2021 Ford Bronco Sport- Video
Hey, this is Ethan at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Nautic Saddle Style Roof Rack Carrier for your kayak or your paddle board on our 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. This style of carrier is gonna be great for, like I mentioned, a longer kayak or a larger standup paddle board, 'cause you do have the ability to load it yourself with these pivoting cradles that we'll get into once we get the actual kayak removed. First thing we need to do to get the kayak removed is to get all our straps taken off. There are four straps included, including the bow and stern straps. To get those removed, we'll start by undoing this hook and loop strap that we're using for our excess, pulling the rest of the strap out. more

Swagman Contour Rooftop Kayak Carrier Review - 2021 Ford Bronco Sport- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Swagman CONTOUR Kayak Carrier on our 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. This is a fixed J-style kayak carrier, which basically means that it is a J-Hook style carrier, but it's in the fixed position, which means that it can't be folded down. So the way that it's on there is the way that it's gonna stay. It's capable of supporting a kayak up to 100 pounds, and it fits on our crossbar system using these clamps here. The clamps just hold onto our crossbars to this plate, and we just thread these hand knobs to secure it. more

Inno Watersport Carriers Review - 2014 Ford Fiesta- Video

Rhino Rack Watersport Carriers Review - 2014 Ford Escape- Video
Today, on our 2014 Ford Escape we are test fitting the Rhino Rack J Style Kayak Carrier, product number S510. Now, all the straps are included in the set, the only straps that are not included are these anchor straps right here. That product number is RRBAS and it only comes with one in each pack. First we're going to start by taking off our bow and stern straps here. We just undo this strap keeper and let all the loose strap go. Turn this around, we're going to feed the extra strap through here. more

Thule Watersport Carriers Review - 2015 Ford Fusion- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford Fusion, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule SUP Shuttle, Stand Up Paddleboard Carrier that's going to go on top of your roof rack system. As you can see, we already have one up here and it's going to be on top of our Thule Aero Blades. This will be part number TH811XT. We're going to show you how it fits and looks on here today. First step in doing so is going to be to undo the fit flip brackets like so and extending it out all the way, or however wide you need it to fit your board. Now we'll place it on top and just set it there temporarily. Next we'll make sure we get a measurement from the side to make sure we get it on here evenly. more

Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier Review - 2014 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Explorer we're going to be test fitting the Thule SUP Taxi, a standup paddleboard carrier with a two-board capacity, part number TH810. With our Thule Rapid Crossroads roof rack system already installed on the Explorer we'll begin our test fit by grabbing the front half of our carrier. We'll place it onto our front load bar. As we do it we'll want to be sure we bring to black rubber-coated metal straps around the underside. We'll then fit the one closest to us into the foot of the carrier. We'll then turn to small gray knob located on the front to secure our strap around our bar. With this side secure we'll go ahead and repeat that same tightening process for the other side here in the front. With the front half secure we'll now grab the rear half. more

Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier Review - 2014 Ford Taurus- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Taurus we're going to be test fitting the Thule SUP Taxi, this is a stand-up paddle board carrier with a 2 board capacity, part number Th810. We've got the Rhino-Rack Vortex Arrow Roof Rack System installed on our Taurus already, so we'll begin our test fit by grabbing one half of our carrier and placing it on to our front crossbar, as we do this we'll want those black rubber coated metal straps to come around the underside, we'll then fit it into the foot of our carrier and tighten down the the gray knob located here at the front. Now, with our passenger side nice and secure, go over to the driver side, repeat that same process, as you can see the strap's going to fit into the small half wound 00:00:59 indentions that are here on the rear and that's right down in there and then the knob takes down the slack in the strap. Alright with our front half secure, we'll now grab our rear half, place it onto our rear crossbar, again we want those rubber coated straps to come around the underside. We're going to fit this into the foot of the carrier, just to hold it temporarily and then we'll take a quick look to be sure we have both halves centered, or not centered but both halves in line with each other, with that in the proper position we'll go ahead and tighten it down just like we did the other one. Right there into those indentions, tighten it down with the gray knob, as you can see at each of the 4 foot backs around, they've got the Thule 1 key lock system, so if you want to secure them with lock and key, it's already designed to accept that. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Expedition, were going to be test fitting the Thule SUP Taxi, a stand-up paddleboard carrier, with a two board capacity, part number TH810. With the factory roof rack on our vehicle, well begin our test fit by grabbing the front half of the carrier and placing it on to our front load bar. Well bring the black rubber coated metal straps around the underside of the bar, fitted into the foot of the carrier, and the tightening the gray thumb screw to secure it. With the passenger side secure, well move to the driver side and repeat the same tightening process. With our front secure, well now grab our rear half. Well place it on to our load bar, take a quick look to be sure we have our feet in line with each other, and repeat the same tightening process we used for the front. Were now ready to load our paddleboard. more

Today, on our 2012 Ford Escape, we'll be test fitting the Thule SUP Taxi Stand Up Paddle Board Rack with a two-board capacity, part number TH810. With our Thule Rapid Crossroad Racks in place, we'll take our rack and set it up on the front bar. Next, we'll take your T-strap, wrap it around the bar, and place it back into the foot. Next, go around the other side of the vehicle and repeat. This time, you can tighten it on up with the wing nut. Once you have both make secure with the wing nuts, you can move to the rear bar. You can repeat this process to mount your rack as well. more

Today on our 2010 Ford F-150, we'll be test fitting the Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier with a two-board capacity, Part Number TH810. With a Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing half of the carrier onto the front part of our roof rack. We'll bring the rubber-coated steel strap around the front bar, putting it back into the foot of the carrier, and using the small knob on the reverse side to tighten it down. Well move to the other side and repeat this process. We'll grab the second half of the carrier and place it onto the rear bar. We want to make sure that both halves of our carrier are in line with each other for better hauling of our gear. Once we have it in place, we can bring the rubber-coated strap around the bar, fit it into the foot, and tighten the hand knob. more

To begin our test fit, well mount the Thule SUP directly to the load bars that we have on the vehicle. Today on our 2013 Ford Escape, we'll be test fitting the Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddle Board Carrier, part number TH810. Now with our roof rack system already assembled to the vehicle, we'll go ahead and set the carrier onto the front crossbar, swing the rubber coated steel straps on the underside of the crossbar, bring them up, snap them into position and turn the grey knobs to tighten them down and secure the carrier to the crossbar. We can then repeat this process for the rear crossbar. It is important to get the paddle board carriers perpendicular to each other to ensure that your paddle boards are secured down correctly. To load our cargo, we'll undo the grey plate at the face of the carrier; this will allow us to bring out the slack of the rope. That completes today's test fit for the Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddle Board Carrier with a two board capacity, part number TH810 on our 2013 Ford Escape. more

Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier Review - 2011 Ford Flex- Video
Today we're working with a 2011 Ford Flex and we're going to be test fitting a Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier part number TH810. To mount our carrier to our roof rack we'll take half of the carrier and set it up on top of the front load bar. We'll position it where we want it and feed the spindling straps around the load bar and secure them back to the head. We'll then use the hand knobs to tighten down the straps on both sides of the vehicle. Then we'll take the second half of the carrier and place it on the rear bar. We do want to make sure that it lines up nicely with the front so that we can carry our paddleboard. more

To mount the carrier up on top of our roof rack, we'll take the first half, set it on top of the load bar and feed speed link strap around. And we'll use the gray hand knob to tighten it down. We'll back and forth from driver side to passenger side to make sure we tighten down the system evenly. Once we have the first half attached, we can move on to the rear half and secure it on our rear load bar. With that the SUP is mounted and we're ready to load up and hit the road. more
